Sun Block Technology - Sawyer Products provides a variety of sunscreen lotions, featuring Bonding
Base® technology, from a SPF 30 to a SPF 45. These products were developed in the 1980's with the use of outdoor testing in Hawaii under Ultra Violet radiation (UV) conditions more intense than in the U.S. mainland. UV radiation is one of the most important factors in the development of risk
for skin cancer. Bonding Base Sun Blocks feature a unique technology that allows the lotion to attach
to the skin and therefore resist water and physical abrasion. This allows the products to remain on the skin much longer than non-bonding base sunscreens. They provide UVA and UVB protection,and are hypoallergenic, waterproof, greaseless, and fragrance free.
Stringent Testing - The Bonding Base Sun Blocks are included in stringent testing programs. They are tested routinely as part of an ongoing stability program and have proven to be stable for a minimum of five years. The products have also been tested under laboratory and rugged outdoor
conditions to determine their safety and efficacy.
Field Tests - Sawyers Bonding Base® Sun Blocks were tested in a variety of actual field use situations, beyond the scope of what is required by the FDA, and were found to show the following:
Resists the combination of perspiration and water abrasion
Resists physical abrasion (clothes may be worn over these sunscreens)
Maintains efficacy at high altitude (tested above 9000 ft.)
Maintains efficacy in dry climates (tested in low humidity)
Maintains efficacy in tropical climates (tested in high humidity)
All day protection (tested for five consecutive days under intense UV conditions)
